This staff meeting covered information about the possible relocation of the Ewald Offices in 2020, A presentation on the kHub, a knowledge hub used by PDMA, and a presentation from the Conference Success team on new ideas and options to improve the outcomes from a conference or event.

David Ewald, MBA, CAE, President, Ewald Consulting

David has been with Ewald Consulting since 1986. He was named Vice President and managing partner of the firm in 1988 and became President and CEO in 1998. He has a M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota with a concentration in business, government and society, a discipline that involved extensive research and study of the impact of trade and professional associations on society. David served as president of the Board of the Minnesota Government Relations Council in 1997. He served as president of the Midwest Society of Association Executives (MSAE) board in 2002-03 and is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives. He earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1994.

Eric Ewald, Ewald Consulting

Eric joined Ewald Consulting in 1994 and is a partner with the firm. He also serves as the General Manager of Ewald Consulting’s Chicago office. He earned his M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, where he was a double major in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. Eric provides strategic leadership for several Ewald Consulting clients. Eric is Ewald Consulting’s lead facilitator for governance workshops and strategic planning engagements. His experience over 20 years includes governance, strategic planning, budgeting, membership and government relations. Eric is a BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer. He served as Chair of the Midwest Society of Association Executives (MSAE) board in 2011-2012 and is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). He earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1999.

Anna Wrisky, Director of Design and Usability, Ewald Consulting

Anna Wrisky joined Ewald Consulting in 2008 as a Communication Specialist. Previously, she worked as a graphic designer for Viking Industrial Center for more than 3 years. Anna graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2004 with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and minors in both Photography and Arts in Media. She worked as art director for the University newspaper, the UMD Statesman, and as a designer for UMD Sports Information.

Julia Renner, Ewald Consulting

Julia leads Ewald Consulting's professional development team in supporting the spectrum of training and development resources that associations offer. Her experience includes curriculum development and leading professional development seminars on instructional best practices. In her role as Director of Professional Development, she provides professional development strategy, oversees the management of continuing education credits, and provides Instructional Design insights for client programming. Julia has her B.A. in Political Science from the College of St. Benedict and her M.A. in Teaching from Marian University.
